Public screenings and contributions

Health screenings aimed at the protection of health and the early recognition of diseases are in the focus of our social responsibility. In our medical consultation centers several kinds of screenings (e.g. cardiovascular) are performed by our doctors.

In the past six years we have supported five national public screening programs with altogether HUF 1 billion. Between 2004 and 2008 we supported the Menokard cardiology program, between 2004 and 2006 we participated in the cardiovascular screening and nursing of patients who had a stroke, then, between 2005 and 2007 we contributed to Faluszűrés (Village Screening) program. Between 2007 and 2008 we provided support for the Szűréssel az Életért (Screening for Life) program and we are a key supporter of the ÉRV (Protecting our Arteries) program launched in spring 2007 by the Hungarian Society of Hypertension.

Linked to this internationally acknowledged five-year public screening program, ÉRV Regiszter, started in April 2009 and extended to GP’s practices, aims to help professionals gain a real view of the number, proportion and health condition of Hungarian patients suffering from peripheral arterial diseases. The program has outstanding success: by September 2010 the data of 55 thousand patients have been included in ÉRV and ÉRV Regiszter. The peripheral arterial disease could clearly be diagnosed in 17.3 percent of the patients examined and 20 percent of them had borderline results.
